PCA Skin Chemical Peels

PREPARATION FOR A TREATMENT

Using PCA SKIN daily care products, received during your initial consult, before your peel will prepare your skin, reduce the risk of complications and typically lead to better treatment results.

If you are lactating, pregnant, or may be pregnant, only a select number of PCA SKIN treatments are appropriate. Consult your OB/GYN before receiving a treatment.

Do not go to a tanning bed two weeks before a treatment. This practice should be discontinued altogether due to the increased risk of skin cancer and accelerated visible aging.

It is recommended that extended sun exposure be avoided, especially in the 10 days before the treatment.

It is recommended to delay use of Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Tazrac, Avage, EpiDuo, Ziani, and high-percentage alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and beta hydroxy acid (BHA) products for approximately five days before treatment. Consult your physician before temporarily discontinuing the use of any prescription medications.

POST TREATMENT TIPS

After receiving a PCA SKIN professional treatment, you should not necessarily expect to "peel." Light flaking in a few localized areas for three to five days and residual redness for approximately one to 12 hours post-procedure is typical.

It is recommended that makeup not be applied post-treatment, as it is ideal to allow the skin to stabilize and rest overnight; however, makeup may be applied 15 minutes after the treatment if necessary.

To minimize the potential for side effects, use only The Post- Procedure Solution for three to five days or until flaking has resolved.

If the skin feels tight, reapply ReBalance, for normal to oily skin types, or Silkcoat Balm, for drier skin types, to moisturize as needed.

It is recommended that other topical, over-the-counter medications or AHA products not be applied to the skin for seven days post-procedure, as they may cause irritation.

Try to avoid direct sun exposure and excessive heat. Use a PCA SKIN broad spectrum sunscreen.

Do not go to a tanning bed for at  least two weeks post- procedure treatment. This practice should be discontinued altogether due to the increased risk of skin cancer and accelerated visible aging.

Do not pick or pull on any loosening or peeling skin. This could potentially cause hyperpigmentation.

Do not have electrolysis, facial waxing or use depilatories for approximately five days.

Dermatude Meta Therapy

You have undergone an intensive Meta Therapy skin treatment, whereby micro-perforations were made in your skin using the special Meta Therapy techniques. Depending on the type of Meta Therapy treatment, it is important to follow the guidelines below in order to allow the skin to heal and to ensure optimum results. Meta therapy facial treatment

FACIAL TREATMENT

After treatment, your skin may show redness. Also, microbleedings may have occured. And you may experience a burning sensation on your skin, which feels like a slight sunburn. This feeling will disappear within a few hours to one day. Avoid touching the skin with your hands during the first 24 hours, because your hands accommodate a lot of bacteria.

Also during the first 24 hours, we advise against swimming and bathing (except for showering), sunbathing (or using a solarium) or using a sauna and/or bubble bath. If it is difficult to avoid direct sunlight after the treatment, make sure to use a sun cream with a high protection factor and, preferably, wear a sun hat.

To support the intensive Meta Therapy and obtain optimum results, we explicitly advise to use the Dermatude Facial Cream daily, which was especially designed for your Meta Therapy treatment, particularly during the initial course of treatment. The ingredients of the Dermatude Facial Cream are completely attuned to the Subjectable applied in the treatment. Should you prefer to use a cream by a different brand, make sure you are completely informed about the ingredients, in order to avoid any undesired reactions caused by the use of the cream you have chosen. After 24 hours you may use makeup again.

WRINKLE TREATMENT

After treatment, the wrinkles treated will show up as clearly visible lines. These lines are caused by the more intensive wrinkle treatments, whereby tiny scabs are formed in the treated wrinkles. These scabs will disappear within a dew days, depending on the cell regeneration of the skin, which differs from one person to the next.

Do not cover the scabs during the first 24 hours after treatment. After that, you may camouflage the lines with make-up, provided the scabs are completely dry. However, be very careful when cleansing the skin, to avoid pulling away the scabs.

As long as the wrinkles are still scabbed over, we advise against swimming, sunbathing (or using a solarium) or using a sauna and/or bubble bath. If it is difficult to avoid direct sunlight after the treatment, make sure to use a sun cream with a high protection factor and, preferably, wear a sun hat.

Elleebana Lash Lift

PREPARATION FOR A TREATMENT

Pre-curling: If you have strong and very straight lashes you can opt to have your lashes manually curled using your personal lash curler from home. This can be done after the cleansing step and prior to commencing the rest of the lifting process- this will assist the process of attaching the lashes to the silicone rods before treatment

POST CARE TIPS

Do not use strong eye makeup removers for 48 hours as they may strip the color if a tint has been performed.

Please only use Belma remove as a suitable makeup remover.

Ask your client to avoid hot steamy showers or saunas for 24 hours after a treatment and do not wash hair that evening as shampoo or conditioner, makeup, creams or eye serums on the lashes/eye area/brows over the next 24 hours can encourage the color to weaken or the lift to relax.

Do not rub or play with the lashes, if any irritation occurs, apply a clean wet pad to the eye area or bathe the eyes with clean and cool water and contact a doctor, as therapists we are not able to provide medical advice to our clients so it is important to refer any irritations or reactions to a medical professional.
